I'm using fc7. I got this error when I tried to mount the ntfs drive manually. mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb5 /media/D fusermount: failed to access mountpoint /media/D: Transport endpoint is not connected FUSE mount point creation failed Unmounting /dev/sdb5 (Barracuda) I had set automount to this drive, but an error message flashed on start up as 'automount failed'. So I tried to mount manually, but in vain. The folder 'D' in media is already created, but I could not see it now. What should I do now? :(

Something killed the ntfs-3g process that's why you had the problem. If automount still doesn't work then you have some distribution specific setup or configuration problem.

Interesting that for me df command cause connection abort for ntfs-3g. That may be a uclibc bug or df applet from busybox bug.

This is indeed a known uclibc related fuse porting bug. Do you use openwrt?

No, I need a very small livecd image with ntfs write support. That's why I choose uclibc and buildroot (http://buildroot.uclibc.org/) to create image (<= 3MB). But I found on openwrt site similiar makefile to create ntfs-3g.mk and fuse.mk (makefile) .

Then it probably uses the same incorrect fuse patch as openwrt. Or at least it should have something to do with removed symvers. Could you check it out?

Tuxera NTFS is based on NTFS-3G, but with lots of their own proprietary performance and quality enhancements, and a very beautiful GUI, ease of use and a powerful built-in disk manager for.
I have seen instances of filesystem corruption resulting in data loss with each NTFS-3g, Tuxera NTFS, and Paragon NTFS. Your best option is to copy your data to another location then use Disk Utility to reformat the drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled), or for slower performance but cross-compatibility with Windows, ExFAT.
